Peak
Climbing is another prime attraction of Nepal.
The Mountains of Nepal have stood are irresistible
landmarks for the world's adventurers since Nepal
opened its doors to visitors in the 1950s. Mountaineering
can range from climbing the highest peak of the
world to climbing lower peaks. Although by Himalayan
standards 33 "Trekking Peaks" are considered
minor peaks, they nonetheless provide snow and
ice-climbing, and are technically quite challenging.
Mountaineering teams can apply for permit at mountaineering
section of the Nepal Government Culture, Tourism
and Civil Aviation or directly contact with local
trekking agents.
For the permit
you should apply for the permit through the Nepal
Government ragistered trekking agency & you
should have climbing guide otherwise permit is
not issued. Trekking agency provide qualified
& trained climbing guides to take non climbers
for convenience, safety & expected successes.
By Himalayan standards these are considered minor
peaks, but in fact some of them provide relatively
challenging snow and Ice climbing of high standard,
& more so in Winter. The royalty for these
peaks ranges from 150.00 US$ to 300.00 US$ depending
on the particular peak for up to 10 member climbing
team.

Imja Tse(Island) peak, at a height of 6,189 meters, is more popularly known by the name of Island Peak. Island Peak trip is a special trek which combines an ascent of Island Peak with a visit to the famous lakes of the Gokyo area. We start from Lukla and trek slowly up the Dudh Kosi valley. One of the good-looking trekking route in Annapurna Area, "Mardi Himal" is truly adventurous for trekking peak climbing which lies less than 15 miles from Pokhara and is the most southerly peak of the Annapurna range. It is the lowest and the least climbed or visited peak. In the Lobuche Peak there are two different summits Lobuche East (6,119m) and Lobuche West (6,145m). The first attempt was made by Laurence Nielson and Sherpa Ang Gyalzen on 25 April 1984. There is a sharp gap and a considerable distance between them. The true East Peak is quite striking and is reached by descending into a marked notch and climbing steep snow/ice slopes to the top. Thapa Peak trek is one of most difficult, adventurous and very interesting treks. This trek is wildest, most remote and breathtaking. It requires a good trekking experience and a good physical form. In low altitude there are villages and valleys.
